Exdocs Data Exchange solution offers compliance with new customs notification standards (ACE/e-Manifest)

SITUATION

In 2007, Espressocode was asked to design and implement a data exchange system to comply with the newly adopted ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) submission standards of US customs agencies.

Trucks entering the United States would now be required to transmit the advance information through the ACE Truck Manifest System (e-Manifest).

SOLUTION

Espressocode created a highly reliable, mission critical data exchange solution which would allow customers to comply with the stringent standards imposed by US CBP.

By creating a portal through which information needed for ACE/e-Manifest can be entered, Espressocode was able to offer a simple, easy to use solution that takes the worry out of complying with the submission standards of the US Customs Border Services. Furthermore, reliable data exchange has resulted in a reduction in costly errors associated with shipments arriving without proper documentation.

Through the use of the Exdocs platform, customers have seen a significant reduction in charges related to carriers arriving at border crossings with improper and/or missing documentation. Customers using the Exdocs platform remain in compliance with the new rigorous standards adopted by the US Border Agency and are set up to comply with any changes which may effect shipments entering Canada.
