SITUATION
In 2005, Espressocode was asked to design and implement a document management system integrating order management, exception reporting and online document collaboration.
Customers on all levels were receiving inaccurate and incomprehensible documentation which was leading to significant delivery delays due to incorrect data exchange between various parties.
SOLUTION
Espressocode created a fully integrated collaborative document solution which reduced communication, E&O (errors and omissions) and customs costs while improving order management and logistics visibility.
By digitizing documentation and creating a truly visible tracing system, Espressocode was able to offer unparalleled communication and reporting tools to the end users. Providing live, real-time data on shipment status enabled buyers to fully integrate on-demand purchasing with their current order flow.
Unexpected delays were reduced which led to much improved order forecasting and on-demand purchasing. Through the use of the Exdocs platform, documentation is now easily created and disseminated to priority recipients in digital quality.
Storage charges arising from flawed or illegible documents have essentially been eliminated.
